Ioannis Katsimbaris A' Vice President

Ioannis (John) Katsimbaris is born in Pera, the multicultural but Hellenic dominated neighborhood of Constantinople. His father served in the Greek foreign service and his mother was a Greek public-school teacher. Ioannis is a pure Greek of the diaspora, having lived in 9 countries and having spent only 4 years of his life in Athens, Greece. Nonetheless, he grew up proud of his Hellenic identity being nurtured in Greek traditions, language, history, and philosophy!
He speaks Greek, English and German on a ‘mother’ language level and is fluent in Dutch and French.
He studied at the prestigious RWTH Aachen University of Technology and Technical University of Delft and holds degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He has worked in the Aeronautical and Automotive industry overseas and in the United States. He is currently an Engineering Program Manager and Senior Engineer at Winterpark Engineering of Burke Porter Group in Michigan.
Since his college years, Ioannis has been very active in community associations, societies and clubs promoting Hellenic values and traditions and has held various elected executive board positions. He is a member and former secretary of the Ahepa Bloomfield Alpha Chapter. Currently he serves as elected president of the Panepirotic Federation of America and as member of the board of trustees of the Michael Anagnos Schools Foundation.
